The Valencian Region has over 60 locations that are perfect for rock-climbing. Some of these locations are favoured by professional climbers from all around the globe. The Rock of Ifach is one such location. This enormous rock which juts from the sea offers many climbing possibilities for climbers of all different levels of expertise.

The Rock of Ifach Nature Park is very well known throughout the Costa Blanca. Its highest point is 332 metres above sea level and offers incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

For those that are interested in this sport there are various climbing schools in the region that cater to all levels of expertise.

Recently the Rock of Ifach hosted the 4th, 12 hour Climbing Rally which took place on the 14th of May 2009. On this day, many experts enjoyed an adrenalin-packed day of climbing suspended from the mighty rock and surrounded by its flora and many seabirds, whilst onlookers admired from below the successful ascent.
